Comments Off on Is it time to move into a bigger home?
It can be hard to imagine yourself living somewhere else as you may love the apartment or home you are living in. Sometimes you seriously need to rethink your living arrangements and consider moving into bigger and better places.
When you are looking at moving into a bigger home, it is not just about the extra space. It can also be because of financial stability and growing family. Signs which can mean it’s time for a bigger home include…
Needing more space – This is the most obvious sign it is time to move into a bigger place. If there is hardly enough room for you and the others that live there, it gets even difficult when you have guests over. If you don’t think you can downsize your items then it may mean it is time to upsize your home and live more comfortably.
Growing family – Living in a two bedroom unit/home can be great for a couple or a single person. However not ideal when you are starting to grow a family, pets included. You need to make sure there is enough room in your home that everyone lives happily inside and outside of your home.
New Job – Have you recently got a new job which is in a different location? Instead of commuting endless hours a week, why don’t you just move closer? On the other hand, you may have just started to work from home and need more space for a home office. No matter what changes your career has taken ensure your home is not letting you down.
You’ve got more to spend – Have you finally got your dream job and able to afford the home you’ve always dreamed about? If you have been able to build enough equity in your current place or your income has increased it may be time to start looking at bigger, better places!
Home facilities – Are you sick and tired of hiking to the local gym or pool? Is it time to have all of your favourite facilities right at your home? If you believe this makes sense for you to do at the time, it is probably best to move into a larger place where you are capable of doing this.
Changing Interests – When you first moved into your home you were probably thinking about the closest bars, now it turns out you are looking at the best schools. If your family is growing and choice of schools starts to come up in conversations, you may need to move to a different suburb suiting your chosen school or a more child-friendly neighbourhood.
Garden Space – Your home could be the perfect size but the only thing that is missing is the backyard. Is it time to unleash your inner green thumb and be the gardener you have always dreamed about? Having a bigger backyard allows you to start growing flowers and even your own herbs and veggies. This could end up saving you money in groceries!
It’s always tricky knowing when the best time is to move into a bigger home. If you were identifying yourself in the above signs then it is probably best you do start looking at bigger places!
